The old website went down. The new one was already in progress and went live on 5 September 2026.

The old website of Pavel Gerätebau GmbH went down on 27 August 2026 after a WordPress error. We noticed the outage the same day and informed Pavel. While the old site was temporarily running again, the new website was already in progress. We finished it, switched over on 5 September 2026 and have looked after it ever since. On mobile the new site loads in a fraction of the time, and it speaks 7 languages.

03 / Starting point

Where the website stood.

Pavel Gerätebau GmbH builds film compactors and manufactures metal parts on contract. On the website, businesses find the machines, download data sheets and send enquiries.

On 27 August 2026 the old website went down after a WordPress error. Pavel fixed the error himself. The old technology stayed the same. It had been slow before that too: on mobile, the product pages took around 10 seconds until their main content was in place. English was only available as a machine translation, and as soon as the page was opened, the homepage sent 9 requests to third-party services before visitors had given consent.

04 / What we did

What we did.

  • Noticed the outage the same day and informed Pavel
  • Finished the new website while the old one kept running temporarily, and switched over on 5 September 2026
  • Built the website from scratch instead of patching the old technology: every page sits ready on the server, with no database and no login that could be attacked
  • Created all 126 pages from scratch, with a page of its own for every machine model and data sheets to download
  • Set up the website in 7 languages, every translation checked against a fixed technical glossary
  • Fonts and content from our own server: no connection to third-party services before visitors give consent
  • Images in modern formats, descriptions and structured data for Google on every page
  • Integrated the contact form and gallery; we handle publishing to the server and ongoing maintenance

05 / Since the launch

What has been running since.

We take care of updates, security and changes on an ongoing basis. Further projects are planned, such as an automation for processing files for waterjet and laser cutting.
